How to Pick out a Wedding Clothes
Get started. Start your search six to nine months before the big day.
Choose a style appropriate for the ceremony. For summer wedding, go for something lighter and strap less. For fall or winter weddings, consider a shawl or a sleeved gown. Try one of each basic shape to see which flatters you most.
Set a budget, but also look for quality. Do some research, many bridal boutiques often have advertised sales a couple times a year.
Don’t forget family tradition. Had your eye on the gown your mother or grandmother wore. With permission, a few alterations here and there could help you make that gown all your own.
Be true to yourself. Remember that it is your wedding and nobody else’s. Decide on a color and length. Pick a gown you absolutely love, not one your mom or maid of honor absolutely love.
